Elijah Pierick

Elijah Isaiah Pierick is an American politician serving in the Hawaii House of Representatives for the 39th district encompassing Royal Kunia, Village Park, Honouliuli, and Hoopili.

He won the seat in the 2022 election against Democratic opponent Corey Rosenlee. Pierick currently serves on the Tourism, Economic Development, and Consumer Protection & Commerce committees.

Early life and education

Pierick was raised in Ewa, Hawaii. He attended Pacific Rim Christian University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Bible & Christian Ministry in 2019 and Master of Arts, Christian Studies, and Master of Divinity in 2020. In 2022 Pierick received his Doctor of Ministry with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University.^[2]

Paid community involvement

Pierick has been a referee for youth and adult flag football and soccer and Assistant Student Life Coordinator at Pacific Rim Christian University.

Pierick presently serves as a Chaplain-Spiritual Coordinator at Bristol Hospice.

Teaching

Pierick was adjunct faculty at Bible Institute of Hawaii from 2021 to 2022 and King's School of Ministry in Kahului, Maui in 2022. He is currently adjunct faculty at Pacific Rim Christian University.

Military service

From 2019 to 2023, Pierick served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, having completed training at Maxwell Air Force Base.

Publications

In 2021 Pierick coauthored "The Warrior Shepherd: Exploring the Freedom, History, and Ethics of the USAF Chaplain".
