Emily Banks (actress)

Emily Ann Banks^[1][2] (January 23, 1933 – September 17, 2023) was an American actress and model. She is known for the films Gunfight in Abilene and Live a Little, Love a Little,^[3] and her appearance as Yeoman Tonia Barrows in the Star Trek episode "Shore Leave."^[4] She also appeared on The Tim Conway Show.^[5]

Early life

Banks was born in Boston, Massachusetts.^[1] She attended Cambridge High and Latin School,^[2] and received her bachelor's degree from Simmons College in 1959.^[1]

Career

Banks got her start in 1960, when she was elected Miss Rheingold,^[6][7] appearing in advertisements and promotions for Rheingold Beer. In 1963 she appeared as a model for the game show Say When!!.^[1]

Death

Banks died on September 17, 2023, aged 90.^[8]
