Fabio Attard, S.D.B. (born 23 March 1959), is a Maltese Roman Catholic priest of the Salesians of Don Bosco, who has been serving as the Rector Major of the Salesians since March 2025.

Attard was born in Victoria, a town located in Gozo, Malta on 23 March 1959, he joined the Major Seminary of Gozo from 1975 to 1978, he later entered the Salesian aspirantate at Savio College in Dingli, before he begin his novitiate in Dublin, Ireland.[1]
On 8 September 1980, he made his religious profession in Maynooth, Ireland.[2]
Attard later pursued his studies and earning a degree in theology from the Pontifical Salesian University, and a Licentiate in Moral Theology in Pontifical Alphonsian Academy in Rome. He was ordained priest on 4 July 1987.[2]
From 2008 to 2010, Attard served as General Councillor for Youth Ministry, promoting international initiatives for youth education and social inclusion, publishing the Frame of Reference for Salesian Youth Ministry, and representing the Salesians in major global forums. He strengthened pastoral formation, founding an institute in Malta and collaborating with the Vatican as a Consultor for the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life.[1]
From 2020 to 2023, he coordinated Salesian Formation in Europe, contributing to the creation of a master's program for Salesians and lay collaborators.[1]
On 26 May 2025, Attard was elected the 11th Rector Major of the Salesians during the 29th General Chapter of the Salesians of Don Bosco,[2] his predecessor is Ángel Fernández Artime, who was elevated to the rank of Cardinal-Deacon by Pope Francis in July 2023.[3][4]
