Faux Cap or Betanty is a municipality in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Tsiombe, which is a part of the Androy Region. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 16,000 in the 2001 commune census.[2]

The most important crops are sweet potatoes and cowpeas, while other important agricultural products are maize and cassava. Services provide employment for 2% of the population. Faux Cap is situated in the extreme South of Madagascar, about 30 km South of Tsihombe.
