Fishbowl was formed in 2001.^[2]

Fishbowl has earned a number of business awards for its revenue growth from organizations such as Inc. 5000, Deloitte, MountainWest Capital, and Global Red Herring.^[3][4][5][6]

In December 2021, Fishbowl was acquired by Diversis Capital Management, LP, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm focused on investing in software and technology-enabled services organizations.^[7][8]

Acquisitions

• 2022 – Diversis Capital, through its portfolio company Fishbowl, acquired Red Salt, an Australian-based inventory and manufacturing software provider which became the headquarters for Fishbowl’s Australian (APAC) operations.

• 2023 – The company acquired Sellware, a multi-channel e-commerce platform that enables businesses to manage product listings, inventory, and orders across multiple online marketplaces from a single system^[9]
