Freda Rebelsky

Freda Rebelsky (1931 – July 20, 2009) was American psychologist, a researcher and an educator.[1]

Her last position was Boston University College of Arts and Sciences professor emerita. In 1996, after serving as professor for 34 years, she retired and became a motivational speaker advocating for social justice.[1]

Awards

She won the Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching, in 1978. She was the first female psychologist to win the E. Harris Harbison Award for Gifted Teachers from the Danforth Foundation[1] and the 1970 Distinguished Contributions to Education in Psychology Award from the American Psychological Association.[2]
