History

GTIS was founded in 2005 by Tom Shapiro, who previously worked at Tishman Speyer.[4]

As of June 2024, GTIS has $4.7 billion of gross assets under management and has made 223 investments totaling $16 billion dollars across 45 major markets in the United States.[1]

Projects

In the United States, GTIS Partners developed the Viceroy and Baccarat Residences in Miami with the Related Group.[5] The firm also launched sales of a branded Brickell condo tower converted from apartments.[6] GTIS partnered with groups including a joint venture portfolio with Hovnanian Enterprises Inc..[1] It also developed Tavalo build-to-rent projects.[7] GTIS collaborated with the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS).[8] It is also active in industrial development, including the Port 225 project in Pasadena, Texas.[9]

In Brazil, GTIS Partners has developed several projects, including Infinity Tower,[10] the Palácio Tangará hotel in São Paulo,[11] and investments in hotel chains FII and BHG.[12]
