Gennadii Shlemovich Rubinstein (Russian: Геннадий Шлемович Рубинштейн) was a Russian mathematician.[1] His research focused on mathematical programming and operations research. His name is associated to the Kantorovich–Rubinstein metric, also commonly known as the Wasserstein distance, used in optimal transport.
