Geoff Robinson (born 1973) is a British financial analyst, educator, and entrepreneur. He is known for his work in equity research, investment banking, and financial education. Robinson has held senior positions in finance and has contributed to the development of financial modeling education.[1][2][3][4]

Early life and education

Robinson was born in 1973 in Trinidad. His family later moved to England, where he was raised in Whitley Bay, North East England. He attended King's School, Tynemouth, and earned a degree in economics from Durham University. Robinson is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds a Master of Financial Modeling designation from the Financial Modelling Institute. Career

Robinson began his career at PriceWaterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1994, where he trained as a Chartered Accountant. He later worked at Kaplan, Inc., teaching finance. From 2000 to 2015, he held senior roles at CTG (later 7City), a financial training and consultancy firm. [5]

In 2015, Robinson joined UBS as Managing Director and Global Head of Fundamental Analytics, where he also established the UBS Research Academy. He was ranked in the Institutional Investor survey in the Economics and Strategy category during this period. [6][7]

In 2023, Robinson founded TheInvestmentAnalyst.com, an education technology platform focused on investment training. The platform has introduced AI-based learning tools and applications designed for financial education. [8][7]

Teaching and research

Robinson has trained finance professionals in various global institutions and has contributed to frameworks in valuation and financial modeling, including applications of discounted cash flow analysis and behavioral economics in valuation practices. He has also served on the Capital Markets Advisory Committee of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation. [9][10]
