Born in Bedford to Italian parents,[5] Lambiase started his Formula One career in 2005 with Jordan and worked with the Silverstone outfit through its numerous guises for 11 years, even after the team was transformed into Midland, Spyker, and Force India. In 2008 he worked as a performance engineer for Giancarlo Fisichella, guiding the Italian to Force India's first pole position and podium in Belgium 2009. In 2010, he then became a race engineer for Vitantonio Liuzzi and when the Italian left at the end of that season, he took the same position for Paul di Resta. He worked with di Resta for three years, who was replaced by Sergio Pérez in 2014. After working with Pérez for one season, Lambiase moved to Red Bull Racing.

At Red Bull Racing, he joined Daniil Kvyat as a racing engineer in 2015 and maintained his position when Kvyat was replaced by Max Verstappen. In his role as race engineer, he is responsible for all trackside communications to the driver and the setup of the Formula One car. Lambiase is known for being extremely direct and precise in his communications on the radio, which Verstappen has frequently praised.

In 2022, Lambiase took over as Head of Race Engineering from Guillaume Rocquelin for Red Bull Racing, while also retaining his role as race engineer for Verstappen.

In October 2024, following the announced departure of former Sporting Director and Team Manager Jonathan Wheatley, who is now the Team Principal of Sauber soon to be Audi, Lambiase was promoted to Head of Racing from the start of 2025, where he took over responsibility for the race, heritage and car build team along with liaising with the strategy group and sporting regulations which came due to Red Bull opting to dividing up the responsibilities previously undertaken by Wheatley instead of promoting someone to replace him as Sporting Director and Team Manager, though Lambiase would continue as race engineer to Verstappen.[7][8] Following his promotion to Head of Racing, Lambiase is now effectively 3rd-in-line in the Red Bull Chain of Command, right below Technical Director Pierre Waché and Team Principal Christian Horner, with both Acting Head of Sporting Steve Knowles and Head of Race Team Operation Richard Wolverson both reporting to Lambiase.
