The CDP is a part of the Colorado Springs, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the Goldfield CDP was 63 at the United States Census 2020.^[3] The Cripple Creek post office (Zip Code 80813) serves the area.^[4]

History

The Goldfield post office operated from May 5, 1895, until June 3, 1932.^[5] The community was named for a gold mine near the original town site.^[6]
