Gorshechnoye (Russian: Горшечное) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Gorshechensky District of Kursk Oblast, Russia. Population: 5,106(2021 Census);[4] 6,137(2010 Census);[1] 6,915(2002 Census);[5] 6,863(1989 Soviet census).[6]

History

On 25 January 1943, the settlement (then under German occupation) was recaptured by the Soviet 40th Army, enabling the continuation of Soviet operations towards Stary Oskol.[7]
