Gyrinocheilus pustulosus

Gyrinocheilus pustulosus (common name: Borneo algae-eater) is a species of cyprinid of the genus Gyrinocheilus.^[1] It inhabits the Kapuas, Mahakam and Kayan basins of Indonesian Borneo.^[1] It is ten dorsal soft rays and 39 or 40 vertebrae.^[1] Unsexed males have a maximum length of 35.5 centimetres (14.0 in).^[1] It was described by George Clapp Vaillant in 1902.^[1] It is classified as "data deficient" on the IUCN Red List^[2] and considered harmless to humans.^[1]
