Gameplay
Haunted House is a text-based single-player video game. Players begins in a mansion at 6:00 p.m. and must escape by midnight or be forever trapped.[1] The mansion comprises 28 rooms, seven in each of its four floors.[1] Player turns encompass one minute each of game time.[1] According to VideoGameGeek, "During your search, you may find skeleton keys to open locked doors, good luck charms, friendly ghosts, evil spirits, and skeletons. The sound effects (creaking doors and stairs) add to the eeriness."[2]
