Heavy Metal Anthem is the eighth studio album by the Japanese heavy metal band Anthem, released on April 21, 2000. It was their first album since their disbandment in 1992. Most of the former members play on the album, but with the English singer Graham Bonnet on vocals;[1] the original vocalist, Eizo Sakamoto, returned on the next album, Seven Hills. All of the songs are from Anthem's older releases, rerecorded and sung in English by Bonnet.[2] Bassist and principal songwriter Naoto Shibata recreated the songs with Bonnet's voice in mind, including the English lyrics.[3]
