Heliobolus neumanni, also known commonly as Neumann's sand lizard, is a species of lizard in the family Lacertidae. The species is endemic to East Africa.

Geographic range

H. neumanni is found in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania.[1][2]

Etymology

The specific name, neumanni, is in honor of German ornithologist Oscar Neumann.[3]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitat of H. neumanni is savanna, at altitudes from sea level to 1,500 m (4,900 ft).[1]

Reproduction

H. neumanni is oviparous.[2]
