Hnahlan is a border town in the Champhai Rural Development Block of Champhai district of Mizoram state in India.[1]

Demographics
According to the 2011 census of India, Hnahlan has 569 households. The effective literacy rate (i.e. the literacy rate of population excluding children aged 6 and below) is 92.95%.[2]

Economy and border haat trade
Hnahlan is one of the 4 Border Haats (markets) in Mizoram, others being at Sangau, Vaphai (Saikhumphai) and Zote, all of which boost the local trade and economy.[3]
Transport and connectivity
Zokhawthar (75 km south) provides connectivity to India–Myanmar–Thailand Trilateral Highway (IMT),[4] and Asian Highway Network and Asian Highway 1 (AH1).[5]
