Hutou Mountain Park

The Hutou Mountain Park (traditional Chinese: 虎頭山公園; simplified Chinese: 虎头山公园; pinyin: Hǔtóushān Gōngyuán) is a park in Guishan District and Taoyuan District of Taoyuan City, Taiwan.

Name

Hutou means "tiger head" in Chinese.^[1]

Geology

The average elevation of the park is 251 metres (823 ft) above sea level. The mountain is shaped like a tiger, thus giving the park its name.^[1]

Features

There are many hiking routes connecting playgrounds, barbeque sites, temples, and other scenic spots.^[2] The park is powered by renewable energy, with a windmill at the entrance. Eco-friendly engineering methods are also used.^[3]

Transportation

The park is accessible by walking 2.5km (1.6 miles) northeast of Taoyuan Station of the Taiwan Railways Administration.^[4]
