Personal life
In October 2024, Alexander revealed his CTE diagnosis, revealing that he only had a few years to live.[3] CTE is believed to result from repeated head trauma and has left him with severe brain damage sustained during his 13-year playing career. He is among a group of former players pursuing legal action against the Football Association (FA) over the long-term effects of head injuries in football.[4]
