History
Inverleigh station opened on 3 August 1913 along with the rest of the Gheringhap-Maroona Line.[1] The station was closed on 4 October 1981 as part of the New Deal for Country Passengers which saw many passenger services across Victoria cut and closed.[2] Today, there is little remaining of the station platform with it being removed as part of the conversion of the line from broad to standard gauge in 1995.[3] In 2019 the station was reinstated as a stopping point for the Great Southern.
