Iose Epenesa (YO-say) is an American football defensive end.

Early life and high school
Epenesa lives in Edwardsville, Illinois and attends Edwardsville High School, where he plays football, basketball, and is on the track and field team.[1][2] He holds set the school record in shot-put and is second in the discus throw.[3]As a junior Epenesa, he had 46 tackles, seven sacks, ten tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles as a junior.[4] He was selected to play in the 2025 All-American Bowl.[5]
Epenesa is rated a five-star recruit by 247Sports.[6] He committed to play college football at Iowa over offers from Penn State, Miami, and Utah.[7]

Personal life
Epenesa's older brother, A. J., played defensive end at Iowa and currently plays in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills.[8] Another brother, Eric, is a linebacker at Iowa.[9] Epenesa's father also played defensive line at Iowa.[10]
