Iron Custom Motors (until February 2018 — Iron Custom Motorcycles (ICM)) is a Ukrainian custom motorcycle workshop. The company was founded in Kharkiv in 2010 by Yaroslav Lutytskyi. ICM is the first Ukrainian custom-workshop, which introduced its country at the World and European championships on customizing.[1][2]
In 2016, ICM has become a winner of the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building in café racer class, with “Beckman” project.[3][4][5] In 2017, the ICM team set a world speed record in the class 350APS-VG with the project "Inspirium" (within Bonneville Speed Week).[6][7]
In 2025, the company Iron Custom Motors announced its relocation to Lisbon, Portugal, opening a new representative office.[8]

The first
The company's first project, which participated in the international championship. Donor bike for the project was the HD Night Rod Special, released in 2009. Custom designed in the style of HD and is fully compliant with HD-standards. Engineering calculations were borrowed from Porsche, engine – company Rotax. Body kit and motorcycle wheels — V-Rod - No-Limit-Custom. Tire casings from Avon Venom. The fuel controller and exhaust pipe – Vance&Hines. The model is equipped with full pneumatic suspension and front fork with traverses from Tricky Air. The computerized system allows to change the suspension height, stiffness and pumping order.[12]
Fetish
Donor for the future custom became Harley Davidson HD Rocker C of 2008. The project is equipped with a hydraulic clutch linkage and suspension B-17 PD “Black Widow”. In addition, ICM craftsmen installed unilateral idler arm War Eagle and progressive suspension Air Tail.[13]
Sturmvogel
The custom was based on the idea of “Dieselpunk” style model, rocket shaped and with maximal functionalism. Harley-Davidson XR 1200 of 2009 model year was the basis.[14] The model is equipped with sports slick tires RSD, braking systems and machines from PM, running boards and damper from LSL. The rear suspension was designed on the basis of racing technology — with a single shock absorber under the engine. Creators made the custom's back lighter by shifting down the center of gravity. Oil tank is moved under the engine and control unit — to the tail of the model. Under the lower cowling radiator and other parts are located. Titanium exhaust system of the company Zard is installed.[15][16]
“Dry” system of nitrous oxide, which increases the power of the bike by 20 horsepower to the already existing 80 is added. Semi-automatic clutch EFI adapted specifically for the custom.[16]
Body kit is made of fiberglass popular in the 50s, 60s — a design decision within the framework of the selected futuristic style. The style is supplemented with a custom body kit in the form of the monocoque without visible mounting points.[14]
Beckman
The basis for the idea of this model customizing has served the domestic motorcycle. By all parameters the project was created as a Café Racer of the late 1970s - early 1980s. For this reason, in creation of this model only domestic parts of 1960-1980s were used, the remaining components were created by ICM craftsmen by hand, but with preservation of the technologies of the above-mentioned period.[17]
The project name was chosen in honor of William Beckman – Soviet design engineer, professor, sportsman and instructor of motorcycle sport. Wilhelm Beckmann – the author of many books on motorsport and motorcycle design, based on which the custom was built, fully modified by engineering and design technologies of the time.[18]
Custom was created from a donor IZH Jupiter-4 1982. After complete modification of the model, the original parts in the motorcycle are almost gone.[19]

Perspective
On the 13 of August 2017, the ICM team set a world speed record on a specially created motorcycle Inspirium class 350APS-VG.[6][7][20]
This class includes specially built vintage motorcycles with a fairing, an engine volume of up to 350 cm3, manufactured before 1955, working on gasoline and deprived of modern electronic devices (injectors, computers, etc.).[7]
The world record was set on Lake Bonneville, as part of the Bonnewille Speed Week 2017.[21]
The ICM team set a world speed record on the Inspirium 350APS-VG motorcycle on the 13 of August 2017 at 07:53, its record speed is 99,764 mph.[6]
The speed of the motorcycle during the first lap was 99,197 miles per hour, the speed during the second lap was 100,331 miles per hour, the maximum average speed during the race was 104,106 miles per hour.[6][22][23]
Previous record
The previous record in this class was set in 2013 by the French team Ecole De La Performance on the motorcycle AMC and equals 86,818 miles per hour.[7]

Geometric
Project GEOMETRIC — this is not just a motorcycle. It is the materialized fantasy of a dreamer-engineer, brought to life by the Iron Custom Motors team in its purest form of retro-futurism.
In this project, the team combined precise geometric shapes, minimalistic lines, and an insane concentration of technical solutions. Simplicity and complexity go hand in hand here, creating harmony where every detail is a true work of art.
The foundation — an early production IZH-Jupiter engine, literally “poured” into the frame. The design is so compact that the engine is assembled directly inside the motorcycle. The gearbox is extremely short-ratio and torque-focused, the exhaust — ultra-short, emphasizing that signature “locomotive” pull despite it being just a two-stroke.
The chain is fully handmade, dual-row. The sprockets are also custom-built. Just like almost everything else in this project. The highlight — the front wheel: the world’s first spoked hubless wheel. A completely unique solution that will forever remain the project’s signature feature. It is complemented by an aluminum fairing-fender, through which only the clip-ons are visible.
The front suspension is also special — an adapted girder suspension designed specifically for this wheel. The instruments are pure minimalism: only speed and voltage. The headlight is custom, with a distinctive blue glow.
The design tells a story of its own: geometric tread pattern on the tires, a fuel tank with unique engraving, a seat, grips, and footpegs trimmed in combined leather. Braided wires, colored hoses, black carburetors — every detail here is a brushstroke in a picture where the past meets the future.
Project GEOMETRIC is a challenge to the ordinary — a moving piece of art where technology and design live in perfect sync.[24]
Joker
Project JOKER — a motorcycle you can’t forget. Built to bring thrill, emotion, and a playful smile to your everyday rides through the city.
At its core — a Harley-Davidson Dyna Street Bob, a bike for the forever young at heart. We stripped away everything unnecessary, leaving only the essence. No compromises. Only speed, character, and stunning results.
What we did: 3.5×21" and 8×20" wheels with 120/70-21 and 200/40-20 tires, paired with an extended suspension — perfect for urban riding and a stylish, aggressive look. Inverted American Suspension front fork with “hidden” brake lines. Legend shocks with adjustability and an extra +1.5" travel for even more confidence on the road. Upgraded frame, redesigned rear section, and a swingarm adapted to the new wheel sizes. Optimized riding position — street handlebar and custom seat for comfort even in fast-paced city traffic. Top-class components: Galfer brake discs, hydraulic clutch, Performance Machine parts, Vance & Hines exhaust, braided brake lines. Modern electronics: Motogadget speedometer, Killermann turn signals and taillight, V-Rod style headlight. And the boldest part — the paintwork. We pushed beyond all limits and used 9 different colors, blending a classic palette with geometric patterns. This is not just design — it’s pop-art and punk fused together. We call it: JOKER.
Quanta R
Project Quanta R — a project that erased the boundaries between car and motorcycle.
Created by Iron Custom Motors for the Geneva International Motor Show and the legendary Goodwood Festival of Speed, it combines the freedom and adrenaline of a motorcycle with the safety and stability of a car.
At its core is a spatial tubular frame with a heart from Subaru: a tuned 2.5-liter engine, sports automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, Bilstein B16 suspension, Brembo Carbon Ceramic brakes, forged Vossen wheels, and Continental 335/25R22 tires.
Five power modes — from 350 to 600 hp — with methanol injection to ensure reliable performance at peak power. 0–100 km/h in under 3 seconds. Top speed — 200 km/h. With a weight of just 750 kg, it’s a true burst of energy on wheels.
The handcrafted aluminum body, painted in deep graphite matte, conceals a two-seat layout: the passenger seat hides under a sliding cover, with heated seats for both rider and passenger.
Steering — designed by ICM — follows the logic of an ATV, with electric power assist. The automatic gearbox is button-operated and fully waterproof.
The sound system is as impressive as the machine itself: Alpine Marine with 6 speakers, a subwoofer, two amplifiers, and support for any media source.
The details tell their own story: carbon mirrors, covers, and panels; a custom exhaust system; signature lighting adapted from various motorcycle brands. The blue frame and suspension springs contrast with the matte black body, while the yellow calipers emphasize the uncompromising nature of Brembo brakes.
The look is completed by Bob Basset, who created the rider’s mask for this project.
Quanta R is for those who embrace challenge, style, and thrill — yet remain in the shadows, hiding their face behind a mask or helmet. This is not just a quad. It’s a manifesto of speed, engineering, and individuality. A product the world has never seen before.
Unbreakable
Project Unbreakable — the story that marked the beginning of the partnership between Iron Custom Motors and BMW Motorrad Ukraine.
In 2023, we stepped onto the prestigious BMW Motorrad Customizing Championship stage for the very first time — and claimed an undisputed victory: Winner!!!
The project was fully created in our workshop — from the first sketches to the final touch — becoming a true manifesto of engineering boldness and design daring.
At its core lies the legendary BMW R18, but we reimagined it beyond recognition. Many solutions were implemented for the first time in the world: · bespoke aluminum body kit, · air suspension, · unique wheels 120/70R23 and 180/50R21, · an exclusive exhaust system, handlebar, grips, footpegs, and dozens of handcrafted details.
Our goal was clear: to give the motorcycle a more athletic and dynamic character, highlight the beauty of its engine, and combine clean, minimalist lines with complex engineering. The black gloss and matte finish, accented with elements of the Ukrainian national ornament, gave the project its distinctive personality — and our DNA.
After its world premiere at BMW Motorrad Welt and thousands of admiring glances, Project Unbreakable returned to Ukraine, where it was sold at a charity auction. All proceeds were donated to a children’s protection fund — and for us, that became a victory far beyond the championship.
Burly
Project Burly (2024) — the continuation of our story with BMW Motorrad Ukraine and a bold step into an entirely new chapter of custom motorcycle design.
This time, our goal wasn’t just to build a unique motorcycle — we set out to create an entire line of parts for the BMW R18 with no equivalent anywhere in the world.
The result: a body kit that completely redefines what this motorcycle can be.
We took the elegant, vintage BMW R18 and transformed it into a powerful, daring, and incredibly stylish dragster — one that commands attention and leaves a lasting impression.
What did we create? 120/70R23 & 280/35R18 wheels — pure power at first glance. Custom-designed rims, exclusive to this project. Air suspension with adjustable stiffness and a handlebar-mounted control panel. A lightweight, high-strength carbon body kit, born for speed. A custom-designed exhaust system — with a sound you’ll never forget. Bespoke lighting and control components. Custom footpegs, grips, handlebars, and dozens of meticulously crafted details.
But Project Burly is more than just design and performance. It’s about emotion. We didn’t just produce dozens of body kits — we gave BMW R18 owners the chance to break free from factory limits and bring their dream motorcycle to life, one that truly reflects their personality.
Iron Custom Motors is a style for the bold — for those who live and breathe engineering and aren’t afraid to stand out. Project Burly has become the newest symbol of that philosophy.
