Ishraqat Kanoon (Arabic: إشراقة كانون) is an Islamic political party in Iraq.[1] The party contested in 2021 Iraqi parliamentary election for the first time and won 6 seats.[2] In 2022, it gained an additional seat.[3] The party is associated with the Al-Abbas Shrine in Karbala[1] and is believed to be associated with the Najaf clergy.[4] The party attempts to merge secular civil and Islamic values.[5] It got 100,374 votes or 1.13 % of the total votes in the 2021 election.[6] The party emerged from the Tishreen activist movement, and faced challenges in impacting Iraq's power structure due to repression, internal divisions, and being absorbed by established political factions.[7]

It won 2 seats each from Babil and Karbala governorate, 1 seat from both the Baghdad and Al Qadisiyyah governorates.[6]

In the Council of Representatives of Iraq, the party formed a bloc of ten MPs, including 4 Independents to form the Ishraqa Bloc.[8]
