Ivana Chubbuck

Ivana Chubbuck is an American acting coach and creator of the Chubbuck technique. She heads a drama school in Los Angeles and hosts acting workshops worldwide.^[1][2]

Chubbuck originally worked as an actress before becoming an acting coach.^[3] Some of her notable clients include David Boreanaz,^[4] Halle Berry,^[5] Aubrey Plaza,^[6] Eva Mendes,^[7] Sylvester Stallone,^[8] Judith Light,^[9] Brad Pitt,^[10] Sharon Stone,^[5] Charlize Theron,^[11] Pamela Anderson,^[12] Travis Fimmel,^[13] and Jon Voight.^[5]

She is the author of The Power of the Actor,^[14][10] a 2004 book that has been translated into 20 languages.^{[citation needed]} A revised and updated edition of The Power of the Actor will be released in 2025.^[15][16]

Personal life

Chubbuck was married to Lyndon Chubbuck, director of The War Bride (2001) and The Right Temptation (2000), until his death in 2021. She has a daughter named Claire.^[17]
