Jagadish Debbarma

Jagadish Debbarma^[1][2][3] is an Indian politician and current Chairman of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).^[4]

Political career

Debbarma ran for MDC in the 2021 TTAADC election which was held on 6 April 2021.^[5][6][7] His party the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra forged an alliance^[8] with TIPRA Motha^[9] and contested on five seats. He won the Jirania constituency^[10] seat and became a member of the District Council.^[11]

On 19 April 2021,^[12][13] at the oath-taking ceremony, Debbarma was unanimously elected as the TTAADC chairman.^[14] This was the second time he chaired the council.^[15][16]
