Idampitiyegedara Wanigasuriya Mudiyanselage Jagath Wickramarathne (Sinhala: ජගත් වික්රමරත්න; Tamil: ஜகத் விக்கிரமரத்ன; born 23 February 1968), commonly known as Jagath Wickramaratne, is a Sri Lankan politician and member of the National People's Power.[1] He currently serves as 23rd Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka.[2][3][4][5] He was elected to the parliament in the 2024 Sri Lankan parliamentary election representing Polonnaruwa.[6][7] He is a doctor and medical administrator by profession.[8]

Early life
Wickramaratne received his education at Gal Amuna Maha Vidyalaya, Polonnaruwa and Dharmaraja College, Kandy.[9]
