Jeffery S. Hall is an American businessman who has been the Chair of the Farm Credit Administration since January 2025 and member from March 2015 to October 2018.

Early life and education
Hall was born in Paoli, Indiana.[1] Hall was raised on a family farm in southern Indiana, which has been in his family for nearly 200 years. He is currently a partner in the farm with his mother and sister. Hall received a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University.[2]
Career
McConnell Legislative Assistant
From November 1988 to March 1994, Hall worked for U.S. senator Mitch McConnell.[1] During that time, Hall was the Legislative Assistant for Agriculture, accountable for internal and external issue management.
University of Kentucky
Hall served as assistant to the dean of the University of Kentucky, College of Agriculture, advising the dean on state and federal legislative activities and managing a statewide economic development initiative called Ag-Project 2000.
The Capstone Group
Hall was president of The Capstone Group, an association management and consulting firm that he cofounded in 2009. From 2001 to 2009, he was the State Executive Director for USDA’s Farm Service Agency in Kentucky. In that role, he was responsible for farm program and farm loan program delivery and compliance.
Farm Credit Administration
Hall has served on the FCSIC and FCA Boards since his appointment by President Barack Obama on March 17, 2015. He was Chairman of the FCSIC Board of Directors from November 29, 2016, until his appointment as Chairman to the FCA Board on January 20, 2025. He was designated Chairman of the FCSIC Audit Committee on April 1, 2025.
