Jennifer Canady is an American politician. She serves as a Republican member for the 50th district of the Florida House of Representatives.[1] She serves as the Chair of the Education and Employment Committee.[2]

Life and career
Canady was born in Lakeland, Florida.[3] She attended Florida State University and the University of South Florida.[3] She was a teacher.[4] She's married to Charles T. Canady, former U.S. Representative and Justice of the Florida Supreme Court.[5][6]
In 2021, Canady ran as a candidate in the Republican primary election for the 40th district of the Florida House of Representatives.[3] She was unsuccessful. In 2022, Canady defeated Phillip Walker in the Republican primary election for the 50th district.[7][8] No Democratic candidate was nominated to challenge her in the general election.[7] She succeeded Rene Plasencia.
