Career

Joseph Paul Docherty was managing director of Bede Homes.^[1] Docherty was Chair of the Northern Powergrid Foundation, Trustee of the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, and Chair of Council at Durham University.^[2] In 2025 he was appointed as a non-executive director of Hellens Residential.^[3] He was given a life peerage in 2025.^[4]
