John George Roman (born August 31, 1952) is a former professional American football offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL). He played seven seasons for the New York Jets (1976–1982).[1]
Born in Ventnor City, New Jersey,[1] and raised in nearby Absecon, New Jersey,[2] Roman played prep football at Holy Spirit High School and then played collegiately for the Idaho State Bengals football team. A resident of Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey, Idaho State University indicted him into its sports hall of fame in 1994.[3]
