KK Vishnoi

Krishan Kumar Vishnoi (also known as KK Vishnoi) is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who is serving as a Minister of State in the Government of Rajasthan.^[1][2] He represents the Gudamalani constituency in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.^[3]

Early life and education

Krishan Kumar Vishnoi was born on 18 August 1976 ^[4] in Gudamalani, Barmer district, Rajasthan. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marwad College, Kuchaman City, affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, in 2021.^[5]

Political career

Vishnoi has been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan and served as the State Secretary of the party's Rajasthan unit from 2020 to 2023.^[6]

In the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election, he contested from the Gudamalani seat as a BJP candidate. He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly, defeating Congress candidate Sonaram Choudhary by a margin of 15,217 votes.^[7][8][9]

Vishnoi was inducted into the Bhajan Lal Sharma ministry on 30 December 2023 as a Minister of State with independent charge of the departments of Industry & Commerce, Sports & Youth Affairs, Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship, and Policy Making.^[10] In May 2024, he was additionally assigned the Agriculture portfolio.^[11]

1. Minister of State for Sports & Youth Affairs: In his capacity as the Minister of State for Sports & Youth Affairs, Vishnoi has been instrumental in promoting sports and nurturing young talent in Rajasthan. His initiatives have included the development of sports infrastructure, organizing youth festivals, and implementing programs aimed at encouraging physical fitness and sportsmanship among the youth.
2. Minister of State for Skill & Employment & Entrepreneurship: Vishnoi has been a proactive advocate for skill development and employment generation. His efforts have focused on creating vocational training centers, launching entrepreneurship programs, and collaborating with industries to ensure that the youth are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in a competitive job market.
3. Minister of State for Industry & Commerce: Vishnoi’s portfolio also includes overseeing Industry & Commerce, where he has played a pivotal role in fostering industrial growth and enhancing the commercial landscape of Rajasthan. His policies have aimed at attracting investments, supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and boosting the state’s economic development.
4. Policy Making: As part of his ministerial responsibilities, Vishnoi has been deeply involved in policy making.
