Kadhi chawal (trans.: curd rice with curry) is a popular dish originating in the Indian subcontinent. Kadhi is prepared by mixing Curd, Besan (Chickpea Flour) and different spices. It is served with boiled rice. It usually has a thick consistency and contains fritters (Pakora). Kadhi cooked in Gujarat & Maharashtra however is savoury[1] and often does not have any fritters.[2] Fritters for Kadhi have several varieties, they are prepared with onion, potato, spinach, etc.
