Keaton Bruggeling (born October 23, 1998) is a Canadian professional football wide receiver for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played U Sports football at Carleton.

Early life

Bruggeling played high school football at Eden High School in St. Catherines, Ontario.[1] He also played junior football for the Niagara Spears.[2]

University career

Bruggeling played U Sports football at Carleton. In 2021, he caught 17 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns.[2]

Professional career

Ottawa Redblacks

Bruggeling was selected by the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in the third round, with the 22nd overall pick, of the 2022 CFL Draft.[2] He signed with the team on May 9, 2022. He was moved between the practice roster and active roster several times during the 2022 season.[3] Overall, Bruggeling dressed in eight games in 2022, recording five receptions for 44 yards.[4][5] Like the previous year, he was moved between the practice roster and active roster several times during the 2023 season. Overall, he dressed for 10 games in 2023, catching one pass for 16 yards and a touchdown.[4][5]

In 2024, Bruggeling played in 13 regular season games where he had two receptions for 23 yards.[4] He became a free agent upon the expiry of his contract on February 11, 2025.[6][7]

Hamilton Tiger-Cats

On February 14, 2025, Bruggeling signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.[6]

Bobsled career

Bruggeling is a bobsledder during the CFL offseason.[8]
