Biography

Shackell represented the England team^[1][2] and won a gold medal^[3] in the coxless four event at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff, Wales.^[4][5]

All four of the gold medal-winning crew rowed for the National Provincial Bank Rowing Club.^[6]
