History

Komyshuvakha was first founded in 1770; it was given the status of an urban-type settlement in 1957.[2] It is named after the Komyshuvakha River which flows through the settlement.

Until 26 January 2024, Komyshuvakha was designated urban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Komyshuvakha became a rural settlement.[4]
