Kowloon City District Sports Association (Chinese: 九龍城區體育會) is a Hong Kong professional football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Premier League.

History

Kowloon City began fielding a football team in the Hong Kong football league system in 2002 as part of a Hong Kong Football Association initiative to involve district representative teams.^[1] Kowloon City were part of a group of 11 districts who participated in the inaugural season of this project.

Starting from the 2021–22 season, Kowloon City has been branded as EnGenius Kowloon City due to sponsorship reasons. In this season, Kowloon City ranked first in the Hong Kong Second Division before the cancellation of the season due to COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong.^[2]

In the 2022–23 season, the HKFA accepted Kowloon City's application to be promoted to the Hong Kong First Division.^[3][4]

Top flight division

On 25 June 2024, Kowloon City have been confirmed their promotion to the 2024–25 Hong Kong Premier League after being crowned champions of the 2023–24 Hong Kong First Division League.^[5] This is the club's first-ever season in the top flight.
