Perspective
There was a by-election held in May 2023 by the Electoral Commission of Ghana. This was due to the sudden death of Philip Basoah, the sitting member, in March 2023. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) retained the seat. Both independent candidates in the election had the same name.[1][2]
