In Greek mythology, Lamia (/ˈlmiə/; Ancient Greek: Λάμια) was a daughter of Poseidon, and mother, by Zeus, of the Libyan Sibyl.[1] It was perhaps this Lamia who, according to Stesichorus, was the mother of Scylla.[2]
