Liam Greentree (born January 1, 2006) is a Canadian junior ice hockey right winger for the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) while under contract to the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 26th overall by the Kings in the 2024 NHL entry draft.

Playing career

Greentree recorded 25 goals and 20 assists in 61 games for the Windsor Spitfires during the 2022–23 season. His 25 goals were the most amongst rookies, and that earned him an OHL First All-Rookie Team selection.[1] During the 2023–24 season, he served as team captain and led his team in scoring with 36 goals and 54 assists in 64 games for the Spitfires.[2] Following the season he was named to the OHL Third All-Star team.[3]

Greentree was drafted 26th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2024 NHL entry draft.[4] On July 20, 2024, the Kings signed Greentree to a three-year, entry-level contract.[5] In the 2024–25 season, he had 49 goals and 70 assists in 64 games, helping the Spitfires to win the West Division title in the regular season. In recognition of his play, Greentree received the Mickey Renaud Captain's Trophy for "leadership on and off the ice,"[6] and was named to the OHL First All-Star Team.[7]

On April 16, 2024, Greentree was named to Canada's under-18 team for the 2024 IIHF World U18 Championships.[8][9] During the tournament he recorded two goals and two assists in seven games and won a gold medal.[10]
