The funeral ceremony takes place in the St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle.

After the death of singer Karel Gott (1 October 2019), the then Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, suggested a state funeral for him.^[8] Ultimately, Karel Gott had a funeral with state honours.^[9]
