Pi Delta Epsilon was an American collegiate honor fraternity for journalism that operated from 1909 until 1975 when it merged to form the Society for Collegiate Journalists.[1][2] In the following list of chapters, inactive chapters and institutions are in italics.[3][4][2][5][1]

  1. The use of Greek letter chapter names appears to have been discontinued sometime before the 1927 edition of Baird's.
  2. Chapter was originally known as Alpha.
  3. Chapter was originally was called Beta.

  7. Chapter formed from Eta Theta Epsilon, established in 1916. It went inactive during World War I but reformed two years later.
