This is a list of converts to Hinduism from Islam.
History
- Khusro Khan — When he was a little boy he was enslaved and converted to Islam by emperor Alauddin Khilji. Later on he reverted to Hinduism.[1]
- Bukka I — King of Vijayanagara empire who converted to Islam, then reconverted[2][3]
- Raskhan — 16th century Sufi Muslim poet (born as Syed Ibrahim Khan) who converted to Vaishnavite Hinduism[4]
- Indira Kanwar — The daughter of Ajit Singh, the Maharaja of Marwar in the 17th century. Married to the emperor Farrukhsiyar following conversion to Islam, she reverted to Hinduism after her husband's assassination[5]
- Salabega — 17th century Odia poet who composed bhajans for Lord Jagannath[6]
- Haridas Thakura — Prominent Vaishnavite saint, instrumental in the early appearance and spread of the Gaudiya Vaishnavism movement[7][8]

- Happy Salma — Indonesian actress and entrepreneur, converted and became member of the Lordship of Ubud after marriage to a Balinese prince.[33]
- Sati Kazanova — Russian singer of Circassian Muslim background, convert to Vaishnavite Hinduism and a follower of Vishwananda.[34]
- Aashish Khan — Indian classical musician, raised as a Muslim but began identifying as a Hindu in the 2000s. Also added the ancestral surname "Debsharma" to his name, tracing his roots back to an 18th-century Brahmin family that had adopted Islam.[35][36][37]
- Chander Mohan — Indian politician, converted to Islam for marriage in 2008; reverted to Hinduism a year later.[38][39]
- Syed Waseem Rizvi — Former member and chairman of the Shia Central Waqf Board of Uttar Pradesh, India converted to Hinduism on 6 December 2021 and changed his name to Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi.[40][41]
- Sukmawati Sukarnoputri — Daughter of Indonesia's founding father and first president, Sukarno, converted to Hinduism from Islam on October 26, 2021 at the Sukarno Centre Heritage Area, located inside the Buleleng Regency in Bali.[42][43][44]
- Lakshmi Priya — Malayalam actress, born as Sabina Abdul Latheef, Converted to Hinduism after marrying P. Jayesh.[45]
- Ghibran Vaibodha — Indian music composer, formerly known as Mohammed Ghibran. Announced his conversion from Islam to Hinduism in May 2024.[46]
- Ramasimhan — Indian film director, previously known as Ali Akbar.[47][48]
- Fathima Babu — Indian actress and former newsreader. Converted from Islam to Hinduism after marriage.[49]
- Chahatt Khanna — Indian television actress of Punjabi Hindu background. Converted to Islam after marrying Farhan Mirza; reverted to Hinduism post-divorce.[50]
- Mandana Karimi — Iranian actress born as Manizeh Karimi. Accepted Hinduism to marry Indian businessman Gaurav Gupta in 2016.[51]
- Editor Mohan — Born in a Muslim family but raised as a Hindu. Formally converted to Hinduism after marriage.[52]
- Anwar Shaikh — British Pakistani writer; changed his name to Anirudh Gyan Shikha after conversion.[53]
