This list contains the top 50 accounts with the most followers on the social media platform X, formerly and commonly known as Twitter. As of November 2025^[update], Elon Musk, businessman and owner of the website, has the most-followed account with over 228 million followers. He also has the only account with over 200 million followers.

Other notable figures such as Barack Obama, Cristiano Ronaldo, Donald Trump, Narendra Modi, Rihanna and Justin Bieber each have over 100 million followers. Katy Perry was the first person to surpass the 100 million follower milestone, in June 2017.^[1]
