The following is a list of people executed by the U.S. state of Florida since capital punishment was resumed in the United States in 1976.

The total amounts to 115 people. Of the 115 people executed, 44 have been executed by electrocution and 71 have been executed by lethal injection.[1] Two other people, Buddy Justus and Michael Lee Lockhart, were sentenced to death in Florida, but executed in other states.

  1. Spenkelink was the first inmate to be involuntarily executed following Gregg v. Georgia, the 1976 Supreme Court case which reinstated the death penalty after it was invalidated four years prior in Furman v. Georgia.
  2. Goode was also convicted in Maryland for killing Kenneth Dawson.
  3. The 5 victims were: Lavonne Sailer, Betty Campbell, Carmen Abrams, Elizabeth Shanks and George Karns. The first three victims were killed in Florida while the other two were killed in Pennsylvania.

  11. Stano was also convicted of 8 other murders.

  13. The 5 victims were: Mehrle Reeder, Linda Marvin, Larry McFarland, Glenn Moore, and John Schroeder. Remeta was executed for Reeder's murder in Florida, Marvin was killed in Arkansas and the other 3 victims were killed in Kansas.
  14. The crime occurred in 1984 but only Wilkerson died on the day it occurred. Dalton died in 1991 and Parker died in 2009; both of complications from their injuries. Wilkerson and Dalton were both Deputy Sheriff's and Parker was a corrections officer.
  15. Also killed George Hill, but was executed for killing Scott.
  16. The 7 victims were: Richard Mallory, Dick Humphreys, Charles Carskaddon, Troy Burress, Peter Siems, Walter Jeno Antonio, and David Spears.

  18. The 5 victims were: Sonja Larson, Christina Powell, Christa Hoyt, Manuel R. Taboada, and Tracy Inez Paules.

  25. The 4 victims were: Sydney Gans, Lillian Gans, William Culpepper, and Richard Burke. Burke was a Florida Department of Corrections officer. Culpepper was killed in Georgia, while the other victims were killed in Florida.

  27. Also killed Patricia Roddy, but was executed for killing Henry and Christian.
  28. The 4 victims were: Susan Correll, Tuesday Correll, Mary Lou Hines, and Marybeth Jones.

The 10 victims were: Artiss Ann Wick, Ngeun Thi Long, Michelle Denise Simms, Elizabeth Loudenback, Vicky Marie Elliott, Chanel Devoun Williams, Karen Beth Dinsfriend, Kimberly Kyle Hopps, Virginia Lee Johnson, and Kim Marie Swann. Although Long was convicted of 10 murders he was only sentenced to death and executed for the murder of Michelle Simms.
  30. The 6 victims were: John Hardy Roberts, David Jarman, Milton Bradley, Alverson Carter Jr., Albert Morris, and Walter Jamelle Hinton. Bowles was executed for the murders of Roberts, Morris and Hinton, all of whom were killed in Florida. Jarman was killed in Maryland while Bradley and Carter were killed in Georgia.
  31. Also killed Lee County sheriff's deputy Dwight Lynn Hall but was executed for killing Vann.
  32. Also killed Charles Miller but was executed for killing the Sturmfels.

  35. The 4 victims were: Renee Nadean Flaherty, Geoffrey Dean Flaherty, Amanda Marie Flaherty, and Logan Kyle Flaherty.
  36. Was also sentenced to death in California for the murder of Sandra Gallagher. Further conclusively linked to at least three other murders.
  37. The crime was committed in Orange County however the trial was held in Collier County due to a change of venue.
  38. The 5 victims were: Jimmy West, Tamecka Smith, LaShawn Cowart, Travis Cowart, and Michael Johnson. Bell was executed for killing West and Smith.
