List of power stations in Maryland

This is a list of electricity-generating power stations in the U.S. state of Maryland, sorted by type and name. In 2023, Maryland had a total summer capacity of 11,924 MW through all of its power plants, and a net generation of 36,000 GWh.^[2] In 2024, the electrical energy generation mix was 41.2% nuclear, 39.6% natural gas, 6.9% coal, 5.2% hydroelectric, 3.1% solar, 1.6% wind, 0.9% biomass, 0.6% petroleum, and 1% other. Small-scale solar, which includes customer-owned PV panels, delivered an additional net 1,491 GWh of energy to Maryland's electrical grid in 2024. This was about 35 percent more than the generation of the state's utility-scale PV plants.^[1]
