History

The journal was founded in 1979 as a supplement to the first journal in the field of polymer science, the Journal für Makromolekulare Chemie (Journal for Macromolecular Chemistry) as a forum for the rapid publication of the newest and most exciting developments in the field of polymer science. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2020 impact factor of 5.734.[2] The editorial office is in Weinheim, Germany.
