Madeline Pendleton

Madeline Pendleton Hansen (born 17 August 1986)^[1] is an American fashion designer, TikTok influencer, and author. She is the founder of Tunnel Vision, a small clothing business run out of Los Angeles, California. She was the partner of the late clothing designer and musician Drew Bernstein.^[2]

Biography

Pendleton grew up in Fresno, California.^[3]

Pendleton founded Tunnel Vision clothing.^[3] She is known for splitting the company's earnings equally between all employees, with each employee including themselves taking home the same wage.^[4] Madeline self-describes her business structure as running on a "socialist model." One of Pendleton's goals for the company is ensuring every employee owns a home.^[5]

Pendleton's first book, I Survived Capitalism and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt: Everything I Wish I Never Had To Learn About Money, was released 16 January 2024.^[1] It has been described as a mix of autobiographical and personal finance material, detailing Pendleton's life and how she navigated homelessness, debt, and living on a low income, sharing a series of "capitalism survival skills" that aided her in the process of survival.
