Mae Thalop (Thai: แม่ทะลบ) is a tambon (subdistrict) of Chai Prakan District, in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. In 2020 it had a total population of 7,930 people.[1]

History
The subdistrict was created effective 1 April 1982 by splitting off 4 administrative villages from Pong Tam.[2]

The tambon is subdivided into 7 administrative villages (muban).
Local administration
The whole area of the subdistrict is covered by the subdistrict administrative organization (SAO) Mae Thalop (องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลแม่ทะลบ).
