Markus Lamonte Burton Jr. (born October 3, 2004) is an American college basketball player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Early life and high school career
Burton grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana and attended Penn High School.[1] He was named Indiana Mr. Basketball as a senior after averaging a state-high 30.3 points per game.[2] Burton committed to playing college basketball for Notre Dame over offers from Ball State, Fort Wayne, Illinois-Chicago, and Miami (Ohio).[3]
College career
Burton entered his freshman season at Notre Dame as the starting point guard.[4] He averaged 17.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game during is freshman season.[5] Burton was named third-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the ACC Rookie of the Year at the end of the season.[6]
