In March 2023, he extended his contract with Hull, having first signed professionally in May 2019, and later captained the Hull U21 side on occasion. It was a new one-year deal, taking him until the end of the 2023–24 season.[7] The contract also contained the option for a further year.[8]
A left-back,[9] He made his professional debut for Hull City on 1 January 2024, appearing as a second-half substitute for Liam Delap against Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Championship.[10] Shortly afterwards, on 6 January 2024, he made his first start for Hull City, and scored a late equalising goal against Birmingham City as they drew 1–1 in the FA Cup third round.[11][12][13]
In February 2024, Jacob was named Hull City's Player of the Month for January.[14] On 1 March 2024, Jacob signed a new three-year contract with Hull City.[15]
